I have a pretty high end, esoteric system and am judging the Blu Ray off of that. Jackson delivered a role unlike any he has ever done, portraying a man with an unbendable moral compass. This is why I gave the Blu Ray version of Black Snake Moan 4 stars. In rural Tennessee, Lazarus, a former blues musician who survives by truck farming, finds a young girl nearly beaten to death near his home. Nothing false about the coloration that I could detect. What's for sure is that it's an amazing movie with a lot of depth. Christina Ricci deserved an Oscar for her performance in Black Snake Moan.
You are watching the movie Love, In Between produced in South Korea belongs in Category Drama, Romance with duration 105 Min , broadcast at 123Movie. I hope this type of review covering only the quality of the transfer to Blu Ray has been of some Help to you in deciding your purchase. But I think you have to be a very experienced movie watcher and lived your live a bit to truly appreciate this movie. The video transfer is very good all around. This is an odd but affecting instance of a production whose values include, more or less unapologetically, a goodly amount of fairly explicit sex, with an unusual amount of sly and alluring bondage, but also boasts generally good scriptwriting, acting, directing, and cinematography, not to mention blues music, signaled by the title.
Jackson, see this movie, but not with little kids or anyone sexually oversensitive. I don't even know what it's like. The Mbps rate varies from the high teens to the low thirties. Rae is a girl with crippling self-esteem problems, she loves her boyfriend fiercely, but when he leaves for a tour in Iraq, she lets herself be passed from man to man. When her boyfriend Ronnie is discharged from the army due to his anxiety issue, he misunderstands the relationship of Lazarus and Rae, and tries to kill him.
Lazarus finds her one morning, comatose from drugs and being beaten by her boyfriend's best 'friend' on the side of the road, and realizes that if he can help her clean up her act, he may be able to save himself. I'll watch it at least once a year. It's a uniquely honest fable about redemption and facing our flaws. The video transfer is the star of the film. .
Superb performances by Christina Ricci and Samuel L. In the hands of any other director, with any other actors or actresses, this film probably would have been a complete disaster. Lazarus brings her home, giving medicine and nursing and nourishing her like a father, keeping her chained to control her heat. Some fine extras on this disc and I can't say I have watched them all as yet. Rae's boyfriend, Ronnie, goaded by the man who nearly beat Rae to death, misunderstands the relationship between Lazarus and Rae, and vows to kill him. While all the dialogue is steered out of the center channel, the majority of the film's audio is contained to the front audio stage.
His singing is actually not bad at all - great to see him in something other than the highly annoying Capital One Credit Card commercials. I've never met anyone who could understand what I go through. People think it sounds interesting. Lazarus Samuel Jackson is a farmer and former blues guitarist trying to deal with his own demons, stemming from his failed marriage to a younger woman who leaves him for his younger brother. It's not often that a film is just as widely enjoyed and known for its soundtrack as it is for the story, acting and actors, but Black Snake Moan is one the exceptions.
After spending his day waiting on beautiful flirtatious women on his knees, he picks up Marna, a mysterious woman in the library, who invites him to her secluded mansion to join her assorted other guests for a weekend of sensual depravity. Movies like this defy all categories. He finds the town slut and nymphomaniac Rae dumped on the road nearby his little farm, drugged, beaten and almost dead. It's not that the dialogue is not transparent, it is, it is that the volume levels tended to go up or down. Color grading is warm with a natural feeling and some slight color saturation.
This is not a bad thing as there is a definite filmic look to the movie. Also included are deleted scenes and how the film is rooted in the blues, my favorite music genre. Or the more recent Life Itself? Maybe Mad Dog and Glory? A few times I had to go to the remote to up the volume to catch what was being said. In Tennessee, the former blues man Lazarus is in crisis, missing his wife that has just left him. What I've always gone through. The premise is kind of odd, asking you to suspend your disbelief that a young woman can get disturbingly horny out of the blue.
