Coop reveals to Eddie that Jackie has a child. Jackie pulls Grace out of Catholic school. A pharmaceutical company rep provides Jackie with drugs. The show is dark yet hilarious with outlandish yet realistic characters. Cooper's mother is admitted with a gall bladder attack and reveals a family secret about her son's upbringing. Eddie reveals to Jackie that their wedding has to be postponed because Eddie has to do one year in prison. For its final night, the hospital throws a goodbye party.
Jackie can't arrive in time at her daughter's pageant. Akalitus throws Jackie's urine sample in to the trash. Prince sets out to help as many patients as possible before the hospital closes. Alongside Falco, Merritt Weaver plays enthusiastic nursing student Zoe. Complicating matters for her, she is being pursued by the drug dealer she ripped off. Jackie and Eddie solve Akalitus' memory problem.
Seeing no other alternative Jackie attempts to flee New York but a car crash on her way to the airport prevents her from making her get away. Coop sees himself as a father-figure for O'Hara's baby. Prince finds out the true reason why Akalitus shows no compassion towards Jackie. Thor and Coop give advice to a man who fears he has broken his penis. After Grace gets caught with drugs, Jackie puts her on a scare-straight tour of All Saints. Eddie visits the bar and continues his friendship with Kevin. At work, she has to deal with one new doctor skating by on looks and another who's super-professional.
Roman thanks Coop for his care of a patient. Coop's thrown off when Dr. Akalitus still has the foundling infant left at the hospital; Coop finds out that Jackie has a child. Charlie is revealed to be Dr. Archived from on August 26, 2009. Eddie becomes an unwilling participant in the Peyton divorce battle. Cruz claims Jackie will mess up again.
Much like Jackie, O'Hara is contempt and bitter yet instantly likable. Roman learns to trust herself. Akalitus gets bad news about the impending visit by the First Lady; Zoey throws a party for her fellow nurses; and Kelly makes a confession to Jackie - he took 6 Fentanyl patches and he's never been to Haiti, after making up elaborate stories about helping people there. The series concluded on June 28, 2015, after 80 episodes over seven seasons. Just six episodes in and I'm gripped by her story. .
Meanwhile, Coop's combined birthday and wedding day plans go off with a major hitch; a runaway bride. Akalitus—exasperated by the staff's seeming-disregard for order and professionalism—finds herself in an unfortunate encounter with the wrong end of a wayward. Akalitus posts a security guard by the Pill-O-Matix and approaches Dr. Despite Jackie's complicated domestic life and obvious addiction, she is a surprisingly stable and strong character. Jackie also finds out why Frank's marriage ended.

Halfway through season one and I have developed an unexpected fondness for this dry, subtle and somewhat dark medical drama. Jackie is surprised by the return of Dr. Shortly after attending to the injured car crash victim Jackie inadvertently crashes into a stationary ambulance resulting in her arrest.
Eva Best plays Jackie's best friend and eccentric British Doctor Eleanor O'Hara. Cooper about being the public face of All Saints. Jackie gets tossed out of the mother-daughter dance lessons after a clash with a mother whom she knew from her high school days. The episodes are well measured in their half-hour slot, each with individual and on-going stories. O'Hara gives her some tough news.
