I lawfully file this case for a recall and full repair by Lexus at no cost to me upon presence of proven track records of car maintenance. Sure enough the main dealer has confirmed radio etc will need to be removed to look at this. Since I was able to show proof that I did the maintenance on the vehicle he spoke with his manager and they paid for the parts a rebuilt transmission and I paid for the labor.

But if i max the volume and play my ipod via the tape deck and max the ipod's volume, i could hear soft music coming from the ipod. Most times it is water damage because the passenger window is left down, this amplifier sits under the passenger seat. The manufacturer offered her a 50% discount off of the total repair costs. Check the connections for water damage too. One is a 12v supply fuse and the other is an audio fuse. So before you try anything rash and expensive try taking your car to an electronic shop to test the amp, I would say with much certainty that if your car has the same symptoms your problem is the same as mine So changing the amp voice output solved this for me. My radio had a very soft sound when it was turned up all the way. Replace new bulb and replace everything on reverse order. You will need these clips to replace the panel later on. I've gone thru the same issue, and it's painful.

I've got the same prob with a mk1. Radioman is a registered trademark. I went to turn it up when I noticed that I couldn't adjust the volume on the lexus dashboard, either up or down. This problem may be defective speakers with Nakamichi only. Defective speaker symptoms - tweeter works and the door speaker does not. Try disconnecting the car battery for several minutes then reconnect, this may reset the audio system.
